PRESS RELEASE - NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD AND NEW MEMBERS ELECTED AT HELLENIC AUTHORS SOCIETY

NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTED BY HELLENIC AUTHORS’ SOCIETY

 

 

The Hellenic Authors’ Society, the principal association of literary authors in Greece, elected a new Executive Board at its May 25, 2025 annual General Assembly.  

 

The composition of the Board is as follows: 

 

President:                    Kostas Katsoularis  

Vice President:           Christos Asteriou  

Secretary-General:    Anna Afentoulidou  

Treasurer:                   Nikos Erinakis  

Members:                   Maria Koursi  

                                     Antonis Skiathas                                       

                                     George Veis

 

An Audit Committee, consisting of Anthoula DaniilVassilis Gourogiannis and Nikos Xenios, was also elected. 

 

By General Assembly vote, 

Giorgos AlisanoglouEvangelos AvdikosMirsini GanaEfstathia DimouIlias MaglinisAsimina XirogianniEftixia PanagiotouGiannis StroubasVassilis Houliaras

became regular members of the Society, while 

Giorgos AndriomenosAndreas VoskosStavros DeligiorgisKonstantinos KasinisPaschalis KitromilidisTheodoros Papaggelis became honorary members 

and 

Khaled Raouf became a corresponding member.

 

Over four hundred Greek poets, fiction writers, essayists, critics, translators, and foreign authors with a commitment to Greek letters come together in the Hellenic Authors’ Society in support of freedom of expression, in solidarity with authors worldwide, and in furtherance of creative endeavors and intellectual rights. 

In the almost forty-five years since the Society’s establishment, there is hardly an event of notable Greek literary or cultural interest, in Greece or abroad, where members of the Society are not somehow involved.
